Without key ratio categories, points leagues pitching analysis focuses on strikeouts and wins/saves. With wins and saves uncertain, targeting strikeouts provides the most reliability from your draft pool. Certainly you prefer starters on contenders and who log more innings to get deeper into games to increase the chances for a win. Similarly a closer on a playoff team has better chances for more saves and wins than one suffering on a moribund team. But savvy fantasy players know wins and saves defy reliable prediction. So focus on whiffs and then secondarily look at the projection for the team to gauge wins and saves.
