As we look at position players, we consider on base percentage, power, and hit chances as key elements for offensive Strat-O-Matic success. While speed is a factor, the process of getting a lead and the frequency of pickoffs make us take speed as a benefit but not a controlling factor. Defense is important, but securing the scarce great offensive cards cost much more than acquiring a defensive replacement. Here are the top guys at each position, with some sleeper picks that will be effective at a lower price.
