NOW: Fielder signs with Detroit

The Prince Fielder signing (9 years/$214M) creates an interesting domino effect in DET centering on Miguel Cabrera's possible move to 3B, as reported by several media outlets. If the move is successful, Cabrera's 3B eligibility adds a huge value to a largely lackluster group in the AL. But the middle of DET's lineup just got a huge boost.
Something else to keep in mind: The park effects for LHB in DET (-11% HR) are opposite of Miller Park (+16% HR).
