STARTERS: One Split Away—BPV by Time Through Lineup

Let's complete our one-split-away series by looking at skills posted by starting pitchers by time through lineup.

Our research has shown that a SP's in-game skills get progressively worse the more times he goes through lineups.

This finding has held true again this season. Among SP with at least 20 IP each time through lineup:

Time Through Lineup  BPV
===================  ===
        1st           91
        2nd           78
        3rd           69

Some guys post even more extreme skill splits than these, and some even own reverse skill splits.

Let's take a closer look to find buying opportunities.
