STARTERS: Early 2021 targets

Our second to last SP Buyers Guide column of the regular season will point you towards early 2021 targets.

Here are a bunch of starting pitchers in each league that have a good shot at improving significantly in 2021.
 

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Nathan Eovaldi (RHP, BOS) has been very effective in 2020, even if his stats might not show it (4.82 ERA, 1.29 WHIP in 37 IP). Eovaldi's skills have been superb: 8.9 Dom, 1.5 Ctl, 47% GB%, 146 BPV. A 33% H% and 22% hr/f have combined to erode his surface stats.

Deivi García (RHP, NYY) has shown flashes of his top prospect upside in 2020 (3.28 ERA, 0.97 WHIP in 24 IP), and they have been no flukes. His skills have been very good: 8.8 Dom, 1.5 Ctl, 36% GB%, 132 BPV. His 11.9% SwK%, 69% FpK%, and 33% ball%...
