ARSENAL REPORT: Sticking to the facts

In this version of the Arsenal Report, we are going to wade into some sticky territory (pun intended), as we will be examining a few pitchers who have seen decreases in their stuff coincide with MLB beginning to crack down on sticky substance use for “doctoring baseballs” at the end of May. This comes now as MLB announced on Monday that they will be enforcing 10-game suspensions for any pitcher caught with a foreign sticky substance. To be clear: we are not outright accusing these pitchers of cheating, but there has been a lot of smoke around these pitchers, and we want to investigate whether there is a fire, and if so, how large it is.
