This is a common introduction for this space: a semi-apology for a column dominated by pitching. Again, the reason is simple: about half of major leaguers are hitters, while hitting makes up about 60% of the starting mixed-league roster (and, probably, 3/4 of reserve spots). That leaves a large number of quality pitchers on the free agent market, and precious few hitters. There will always be weeks where the interesting hitters have generally been talked about to death, so pitching dominates.
