(Follow this link for an introduction and overview of this series.)

Date and venue: June 1, 2019 at Guaranteed Rate Field, Chicago, IL.
Pitching matchup: RHP Jefry Rodriguez (1-5, 4.99) vs. Iván Nova (3-4, 6.52)
Setup and context: The White Sox were one of the hottest teams in baseball at the time, winners of their past five in a row (all at home). This was the Saturday game of a weekend set with the Indians, and the two teams were tied for second place in the AL Central. Optimism was in the air for the overachieving Sox, but the Indians scored three runs late, two on a Leonys Martin HR in the 7th inning, to take this one.
