FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Second looks for 2022

Last year, for the final First Impressions column of 2021, we tried something different: rather than taking a first look at five new members of that year's rookie class, we took a second look at a dozen players who we had already covered earlier in the season, players who had a notable change in surface stats or skills in the time since they were first written up. And since the column was well-received by you, our readers, we decided to do it again this year.

Part of the reason we circled back last year was that the loss of minor league games in 2020 made analyzing rookies even more challenging, and while it was nice to once again have actual minor league MLEs to work with in the 2021 season, the impact of that lost 2020 season has...
