F/F SPOTLIGHT: Michael Pineda

When a starting pitcher burns you, there is a strong tendency to dump him quickly. After all, no one wants to carry bad stats.

When a pitcher burns you repeatedly, there can be a natural reaction to write him off quickly.

And when the same pitcher has dealt with both injury issues and an ejection due to use of a foreign substance, many owners will do everything in their power to avoid him even if his skills suggest he should be a target.

One pitcher that fits this bill perfectly is Michael Pineda (RHP, NYY).

But after posting a 6+ ERA in both April and May, the opportunity to buy low on Pineda is closing quickly.
