FACTS/FLUKES: Pedroia, Wilson, Gordon, Burton, Mastroianni

Thumb is down on Pedroia... Many pitchers continue to try, but the only thing capable of shutting Dustin Pedroia (2B, BOS) down apparently is injury. Pedroia remains one of the AL's top second basemen, but his struggle with a thumb injury this season has cut into his production significantly:
