FACTS/FLUKES: Martinez, Thames, Oberg, Dyson, Sogard

Martinez fared well in the closer role … After an injury-marred 2018 season (right lat strain, right oblique strain), Carlos Martínez’s (RHP, STL) 2019 debut was delayed until May 18 due to a right rotator cuff strain. He returned as a reliever and wound up logging a 3.17 ERA with 24 saves in 48 IP. As of now, the plan is for him to move back to the starting rotation in 2020, but is he up to the challenge?
