FACTS/FLUKES: Fried, Edman, Helsley, Varsho, Ruf

Fried’s terrific 2021 run carries into 2022 … Max Fried (LHP, ATL) allowed 14 ER in his first 11 IP in 2021 before landing on the IL with a hamstring injury, but he returned on May 5 and posted a 2.44 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 18% K-BB% in 155 IP over the rest of the season. He has kept that momentum in 2022, sporting a 2.66 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 101 IP. Is it sustainable?
