Brandon Marsh (CF, PHI) has always had a sneaky weird profile as a hitter, as among hitters since 2021 (Marsh's debut season) with 1,000 PA, he ranks first in BABIP at .368, far above #2, Riley Greene (LF, DET) at .351. He has used that BABIP to sustain a .258 BA over that time, despite striking out almost as much as Oneil Cruz (CF, PIT) (31.5% for Marsh, 31.7% for Cruz). Marsh has done with a combination of hard contact, speed, and luck, as he is consistently in the top 25 percent in the league in both average exit velocity and sprint speed, while luck is always a part of BABIP. In 2025, however, Marsh has changed the script a bit, and at age 27 he may be taking a step forward.
