BATTERS: Danger Ahead?

At this point in the season, every game counts for owners trying to make a late push in the standings. To make up ground as quickly as possible, sometimes owners have to ride hot streaks regardless of the questionable skills being masked by a small sample of strong results. While shaky skills shouldn't scare owners away from leaning on a hot bat temporarily, it is important to validate these hitters to help know whom to keep and whom to drop when hits stop falling in.

To assist owners in knowing which hitters to trust, this week's column focuses on batters who have been performing well in the last month, but whose BPVs have actually decreased. Keeping in mind, as usual with these types of exercises, that small sample caveats apply, here...
