Rule 5 Draft Scouting Report

The wild Winter Meetings week concludes each year with the Rule 5 Draft. In past seasons, players like Johan Santana, Joakim Soria, and Shane Victorino have switched organizations. Though these are the exceptions, it's worth taking a look at this year's selections to see if any might have a fanalytic future.

To recap the rules: Players selected during the major league portion of the draft cost the selecting team $50,000 and must remain on the 25-man major league roster for the entire following season or be offered back to their original team for $25,000. There were 12 selections this year (many teams choose to "pass"). Selecting team is listed first, then the player's original organization:
