MINORS: The eyes have it—Notes on Alfaro, Gallo, Mondesi, Dozier and more

In the past, when we’ve put together minor league game-report notes for subscribers, the column was made up of two or three separate contests. This was simply because rarely does one game have enough prospects to fill an entire column.

But the series earlier this week between Hi-A Myrtle Beach (TEX) and Wilmington (KC) was different. The rosters for these Carolina league foes are littered with MLB-quality talent. In our own Organization Reports, five of the top nine Royals prospects reside on Wilmington’s roster; four of the top 10 Rangers prospects play for Myrtle Beach—and combined, five of those graced our 2014 HQ100 list.
