Welcome to the BaseballHQ’s coverage of the 2021 MLB Draft, the craziest draft we’ve seen in a long while. There were so many under slot picks made during the first several picks, starting with the 1st overall pick, Henry Davis (PIT, C). Pittsburgh hopes to save big money with Davis to attack the rest of the draft with. Frank Mozzicato (LHP, KC) at 7 was the biggest shock of the Top 10. 

This year’s draft is jam packed with talent. Every year, we’re asked where the strength in the draft lies. Last year, during the shortened five round COVID draft, the strength was college pitching. This year, it’s prep SS at the top of the draft. Names such as Marcelo Mayer (SS, BOS), Kahlil Watson...
