The Orioles added the 24-year-old to the roster, though he isn’t expected to garner much playing time down the stretch. Mancini, a right-handed hitter, has worked hard to improve his game and add more tools to his tool box. Formerly he was a contact hitter who put the ball in play by lining balls to both gaps. Now, he’s evolving into more of a power hitter—he’s hit at least 20 HR in each of the past two seasons—while maintaining his natural hitting skills.
