The Nationals added some versatility to their roster by recalling the 26-year-old from Triple-A. Kobernus missed a big chunk of the season after fracturing his hand in early April. He eventually returned in mid-June. The right-handed hitter accumulated 30 AB with Washington in 2013 and he could be valuable as a spare part off the bench down the stretch.
