The Astros have recalled the 32-year-old from Triple-A after he had 56 AB in the minors (including seven AB in rookie ball) since being signed to a five-year, $47.5 million deal in July. Gurriel, a right-handed hitter, defected from Cuba in July and is one of the more decorated international players of all time. There is little doubt about his ability to impact the game with his bat. He has all the requisite skills to be a middle-of-the-order producer. He has tremendous hand-eye coordination and ideal pitch recognition to hit for a moderately high to high BA....
