Anthony Rendon (2B/3B, WAS)
Ryan Zimmerman (3B, WAS) has been placed on the 15-day DL, opening the door for highly-touted prospect Anthony Rendon (age 23) to make his major league debut after just 210 minor league ABs. Rendon has garnered a lot of attention since being drafted out of Rice in 2011, entering the 2013 season as #24 on the HQ100, Washington's #1 prospect, and #2 overall third base prospect. He has battled several ankle injuries throughout his career, and the most recent limited him to 133 ABs in 2012, split between four different levels in the WAS system. He looked completely healthy, however, in the 2012 Arizona Fall League...
