DR HQ: Weekly Wrapup, July 2-8

Giancarlo Stanton (OF, MIA)
Injury: Right knee surgery
DL date: July 8
Estimated DL Time: The surgery recovery time frame is 4-6 weeks. He has only a small amount of loose bodies in his knee joint and while it is painful, it’s a newer injury and he doesn’t have a lot of chronic inflammation. Because of that, Stanton should be back closer to four weeks.

Dee Gordon (SS, LA)
Injury: Torn ulnar collateral ligament, right thumb
DL date: July 5
Estimated DL Time: Roughly six weeks. Gordon has to give the surgery site enough time to heal and for the swelling time to go down. It’s not a process with that you can speed up. In the meantime he can run and overall keep in good shape.

Daren Haren (RHP, LAA)
Injury: Lower back stiffness
