Estimated DL Time: Likely out for the year. Even if he can make it back it would be only for a week or so.
CC Sabathia (LHP, NYY)
Injury: Inflammation, left elbow
DL date: August 9
Estimated DL Time: Sabathia says it will be only 15 days. Because the MRI didn’t reveal any structural issue, I don’t see any evidence to contradict that prediction.
Mike Napoli (C, TEX)
Injury: Strained left quad muscle
DL date: August 11
Estimated DL Time: He’s projected to return around August 26.
Paul Konerko (1B, CHA)
Injury: Concussion
