DR HQ: Plouffe goes down; Arroyo makes his first DL trip

Trevor Plouffe (3B, MIN)
Injury: Inflammation between 9th rib & costal cartilage, left side
DL date: June 15
Estimated DL time: The good news is there isn’t a fracture but it will still cost him some time, as it's in an area that is slow to heal. That said, the Twins believe it's minor enough he could return in 17-20 days.
Estimated 2014 effect upon return: None expected.

Drew Pomeranz (LHP, OAK)
Injury: Non-displaced fracture, right hand
DL date: June 17
Estimated DL time: Pomeranz had a fight with a wooden chair and lost. The only good news is it’s his non-pitching hand. His DL stint is expected to be around 15 days.
Estimated 2014 effect upon return: None expected.

Bronson Arroyo (RHP, ARI)
Injury: Sprained right ulnar collateral...
