Injury: Strained trapezius muscle, left shoulder. Pettitte corrected his arm slot recently that could have led to this. The bigger question: What caused the initial drop in arm slot?
DL date: May 17
Estimated DL time: If the injury is only a trap strain then he should return between 15-21 days. If more, it could be much longer.
Estimated 2013 effect upon return: Unknown

Jarrod Dyson (OF, KC)
Injury: Sprained right ankle
DL date: May 16
Estimated DL time: It appears to be a grade one sprain meaning he could be back in 15-18 days.
Estimated 2013 effect upon return: Early reduction in stolen base attempts.
