DR HQ: Another top tier starter heads to the DL

Chris Sale (LHP, CHW)
Injury: Strained flexor muscle – left forearm. He complained of forearm soreness after throwing a career high 127 pitches in last start. MRI ruled out noticeable damage to the ulnar collateral ligament.
DL date: April 18
Estimated DL time: The White Sox believe all he needs is the minimum time off and he’ll be ready to return to the rotation. Look for a little extra time on the sidelines if he shows any signs of not being 100%.
Estimated 2014 effect upon return: To be determined.

Mark Trumbo (OF, ARI)
Injury: Stress fracture – left foot. Trumbo also revealed he was having plantar fasciitis issues with the foot in spring training.
DL date: April 23
Estimated DL time: Until he sees a foot specialist it's all...
