The Rockies rotation last year, despite being without ace Jonathan Gray (RHP, COL) for a large chunk of the season, surprised many with a 4.59 ERA (16th in MLB) en route to the team’s first postseason appearance since 2009. That they were able to get such significant contributions from their youngsters—a total of 93 games started by 4 rookie starters—gives added hope that the staff can reach new heights in 2018.

The top of the rotation will be led by Gray, likely followed by left-handed Tyler Anderson (LHP, COL) and Chad Bettis (RHP, COL).

Beyond that, 23-year-old Germán Márquez (RHP, COL) figures to have a spot secured. Last year Marquez went 11-7 with a 4.39 ERA (4.23 xERA), doing so on the strength of a 95 mph...
