PT TOMORROW: AL West—Who's out in HOU?

Houston Astros

Following a fine Lance McCullers (RHP, HOU) Triple-A rehab effort—5 IP 2 hits, no runs, 7/2 K/BB—on May 7, the Astros may have some tough decisions to make by as early as this weekend. Depending on how he responds physically over the next few days, the plan is for McCullers to join the rotation in Boston, which means another name will be on the outs. Initially, it was thought that new starter Chris Devenski (RHP, HOU) would simply return to the pen in which he had previously thrived, but his first two starts—11 IP, 3 runs, 10/4 K/BB—suggest this may not be so cut-and-dried any longer.

Apart from Devenski's small sample, no one in the HOU rotation has pitched well, as indicated by a next-to-AL-last 4.79 rotation ERA...
