PT TOMORROW: AL West—Non-roster invitees

Houston Astros

With spring training games about to begin, Houston has as settled a 25-man roster as can be found in baseball, with injuries being the only caveat. Among the immediate questions still open are the third catcher spot (behind Brian McCann and primary DH Evan Gattis), for which Max Stassi is the favorite barring a trade. (Houston has been linked to both Jonathan Lucroy and J.T. Realmuto). The final bench utility spot is also up for grabs thanks to versatile Marwin Gonzalez; its could also go to OF Derek Fisher or corner infielder / utility Tyler White. Unlike the large majority of MLB teams, the pitching looks set—as does a deep 40-man roster for at least a little while in a talented organization.
