Although Michael Brantley (OF, CLE) is on the DL with a sprained right ankle, the Indians appear to be close to getting Brandon Guyer (OF, CLE) and Abraham Almonte (OF, CLE) back from their injuries. While the Tribe awaits their return from their rehab assignments, other talent could be had in a pinch.

Richie Shaffer (OF/3B, CLE; pictured above) is seeing beach balls instead of baseballs in June at Triple-A Columbus. Seven of his 23 hits have gone for home runs with four more for doubles, and he's batting .348 for the month (66 AB) in spite of a 67% ct%. While the contact rate is fairly ugly and doesn't bode well for MLB success, it's slight progress from the 62% ct% (.259 BA, 170 AB) he flailed to in April and May. The...
