AL Central: Young backstops take the reins in Chicago

It will be interesting to see how the playing time shakes out between the youngsters behind the plate in Chicago the rest of the way. Edgar Quero, who checked in at number six on our Organizational Report, handled the job most days early on. Kyle Teel has started six of nine games at catcher since he was called up earlier this month, with each of them getting two additional starts at the DH spot during that time. 

Quero has delivered some decent fantasy value in deeper leagues thanks to his .284 BA across 165 PA. But after hitting 16 HR in less than 400 PA in the minors in 2024, he has shown very little pop in the majors. Quero has yet to hit a homer and has a PX/xPX combo of 35/58.
