NEWS: The Yankees acquired third baseman Ryan McMahon from the Colorado Rockies for pitching prospects Griffin Herring and Josh Grosz.

BHQ SPIN: McMahon is expected to take over as New York’s primary third baseman, supplanting Oswald Peraza. McMahon has been struggling to make contact throughout the 2025 season, but his power could get a bit of a boost from the move to Yankee Stadium (+21% LHB HR), and the lineup around him will be better, enhancing his chances to produce runs.
