BHQ SPIN: Westburg, who was in the midst of a breakthrough season, suffered a fractured right hand after being hit by a pitch in Wednesday’s game and is now facing an extended absence. Afterward, manager Brandon Hyde stated that there is not a timetable for Westburg but the team is hopeful that he can return before the end of the regular season. While Westburg’s absence could eventually prompt Baltimore to call up Coby Mayo to play third base, the expectation for now is that Ramón Urías will get a shot at regular at-bats as Baltimore’s third baseman.
