NEWS: The Yankees acquired LHP Ryan Weathers from the Marlins for minor leaguers OF Dillon Lewis, OF Brendan Jones, IF Dylan Jasso and IF Juan Matheus.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Weathers is under team control through the 2028 season, so this is a long-term play as much as it is a short-term one. However, in the near term, the Yankees do have an available slot in their rotation, given that the recoveries of LHP Carlos Rodón (bone spur/loose bodies in elbow) and RHP Gerrit Cole (Tommy John surgery) are expected to extend into the season.
