NEWS: Chicago optioned RHP Javier Assad to AAA-Iowa and announced that RHP Jameson Taillon will be reinstated from the IL today.

BHQ SPIN: After making two starts following last week’s return from the IL, Assad was optioned to AAA by Chicago ahead of the team’s scheduled doubleheader on Monday.
