NEWS: Baltimore plans to scale back the playing time of 2B Rougned Odor for the remainder of the season.

IMPACT:  Medium

.BHQ SPIN: Mgr Brandon Hyde stated prior to Wednesday’s game that the team intends to decrease Odor’s playing time down the stretch to give more opportunities to younger players. The two players who stand to gain playing time for the remainder of the season are Terrin Vavra and Kyle Stowers, both of whom started for Baltimore on Wednesday night. As the team evaluates Vavra and Stowers as candidates to fill a significant role in 2023, they are likely to see more at-bats by way of both Odor’s decrease in playing time and more frequent rest days for Baltimore’s veterans.
