Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Reds RPs Tony Cingrani, J.J. Hoover and Caleb Cotham will be employed in a closer-by-committee approach moving forward, according to manager Bryan Price.  Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - John Fay

Hoover was always a skills-challenged choice as closer, though as the team's most experienced late-inning reliever, he opened the season in the role virtually by default.
