Mariners | James Paxton placed on DL
Seattle Mariners LHP James Paxton (pectoral) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday, Aug. 11, because of a left pectoral muscle strain. The team also recalled RHP Andrew Moore from Class AAA Tacoma.  Source: MLBRosterMoves
 
BHQ take: Paxton is expected to miss at least three weeks, which at this point is nearly half the remaining season. Moore will go into rotation, and recently recalled (and recently profiled in this space) Marco Gonzales gets some additional life as well. Moore's lack of a strikeout pitch was his undoing in his first call-up (3.9 Dom in 37 IP)....
