Mets | Travis d'Arnaud has torn ligament
New York Mets C Travis d'Arnaud (elbow) has a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow and may need Tommy John surgery. He is going on the disabled list and C Tomás Nido is being called up in his place.  Source: The Athletic - Tim Britton
 
BHQ take: Obviously, if d'Arnaud needs the surgery, he's out for the rest of 2018, perhaps longer. Kevin Plawecki has actually been getting the majority of the starts for the Mets behind the plate and one has to wonder if the d'Arnaud injury had been part of the reason.
