PT TODAY: Garrett Mitchell returns for Brewers

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Brewers

NEWS: Milwaukee recalled OF Garrett Mitchell on the 60-day IL and in a corresponding move designated 3B/OF Brian Anderson for assignment.

IMPACT: Medium

BHQ SPIN: On Thursday, Mitchell saw his first game action since April 18 and hit a double and walked twice in his three ABs. He may see a few more starts in center field to allow the Brewers to best choose who will fill out their bench during the postseason. Anderson won’t be around for the postseason; he’s been on the end of their bench for quite awhile having only 23 ABs since August 3rd. Anderson finishes the season with a .226 BA, nine HR and 40 RBI.
