NEWS: Arizona signed LHP Eduardo Rodriguez to a four-year, $80M contract.

BHQ SPIN: The Diamondbacks checked off one of their biggest off-season boxes: adding depth to their rotation after the Zac Gallen/Merrill Kelly top duo. Rodriguez exercised the opt-out of his previous deal in Detroit, and secured more money for himself with this move as well as now being a part of a contenting team. His 2023 was interrupted with a finger injury, but overall he posted a very solid season (13 wins, 3.30 ERA/ 1.15 WHIP) even though the favorable skills and results were heavily weighted towards his first half.
