NEWS: Boston Red Sox OF Jarren Duran was placed in a walking boot Wednesday, Aug. 23, as the team evaluates the MRI results on his left toe.

BHQ SPIN: Earlier in the week, Duran had been placed on the 10-day IL for an injury he sustained climbing a wall in Yankee Stadium in an unsuccessful attempt to rob Gleyber Torres of a home run. Duran was replaced on the roster by OF Wilyer Abreu, acquired in the 2022 deadline deal that sent C Christian Vázquez to Houston.
