Updating a previous report, New York Yankees DH Alex Rodriguez (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring Wednesday, May 4.  Source: MLB.com
 
BHQ take: Per manager Joe Girardi, the Yankees have chosen (for now) to go with a 13-man pitching staff and a three-man bench in Rodriguez's absence, so the primary playing time beneficiaries will be Dustin Ackley and Aaron Hicks, while several players will be cycled through the DH slot.
