CLE signs Swisher, Myers

The Indians bolstered their OF in the wake of Shin-Soo Choo's departure and continued to add pitching depth with their recent signings of Nick Swisher (OF, CLE) and Brett Myers (RHP, CLE).  Swisher's four-year deal has him ticketed to move into Choo's old RF spot, while Myers will take over a rotation spot after spending 2012 working out of the HOU and CHW bullpens. 

On the surface, Swisher's trademark consistency—he has hit between 24 and 29 HR in each of the past five seasons, while posting between 82 and 93 RBI  during 2009-12—is about to be tested in a lesser lineup and less-friendly hitting venue.  But while Swisher did hit 20 points less on the road during his four seasons with NYY,...
