LaPorta joins CLE, but for how long?

Once-bright prospect Matt LaPorta (OF, CLE) has been summoned to Cleveland to fill in while Johnny Damon (OF/DH, CLE) is on a three-day paternity leave, and team officials were noncommittal as to whether LaPorta's stay would be any longer than Damon's absence. However, for a team already missing Travis Hafner (DH, CLE), there would seem to be an opportunity for LaPorta to seize playing time between DH and LF, given the current candidates for those positions, Damon, Shelly Duncan (OF, CLE) and Aaron Cunningham (OF, CLE):
