BHQ take: In 2012, McCarthy spent time on the DL twice for the same shoulder and started 2013 as if he hadn’t fully recovered; his April line was 0-3, 7.48 ERA, 1.77 WHIP. He rebounded nicely in May, allowing only four earned runs in 31 innings, but when he didn’t survive the third inning of his May 30 outing (six ER on nine hits), the injury came to...
