NEWS: Arizona activated catcher Gabriel Moreno and outfielder Alek Thomas from the 10-day IL, designated catcher Tucker Barnhart for assignment, and optioned infielder Blaze Alexander to the minors.

BHQ SPIN: Moreno and Thomas had contrasting IL stints as the former returned in the minimum 10 days and the latter landed on the IL way back on April 1st. Moreno (+5% PT) sprained his left thumb but is now recovered and will reclaim everyday catching duties. Barnhart’s (-25%) dismissal means Jose Herrera (+20%) will stick as the team’s backup catcher.
