NEWS: Detroit Tigers placed SS Javier Báez on the 10-day IL with a right ankle sprain; 3B Jace Jung was recalled from AAA-Toledo in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: Báez had to be carted off the field while running out a base hit, and though the Tigers have not yet confirmed the severity, he is expected to be sidelined for some time. He has seen action at second, shortstop, and centerfield so his absence will be filled by a committee approach. Jung will return to the majors for the first time this season.
