NEWS: Kris Bubic appears to have won the fifth starter role for Kansas City due to Daniel Lynch’s move to the bullpen.

BHQ SPIN: While Kansas City has not made an official announcement, it appears that Bubic will begin the year in the team’s rotation. Spring injuries to Alec Marsh and Kyle Wright left Bubic and Lynch as the two candidates for Kansas City’s fifth starter role. On Wednesday, Lynch notably pitched out of the team’s bullpen, where he is expected to pitch for the rest of the spring.
